When we hear the term CDS, we most often associate it with heroin, powder cocaine, crack, marijuana, etc.

In recent years, however, prescription drugs have exploded on the illegal drug market.  Many times, especially when making traditional CDS arrests, we find unlabeled prescription pills on the suspect.

The website Healthline.com has an excellent pill identifier tool which can be easily used in the field from a Smartphone or from a desktop.  We tried it with several prescription medications, and each time it identified the exact medication.
