The Hightstown Police Department is accepting resumes for police
Applicants must possess a current New Jersey PTC (Police Training
Commission) Certification from an accredited police academy, a valid
News Jersey Drivers License and meet all qualifications of N.J.S.A.
40A:14-118 et. seq.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following
qualifications: (a) a four (4) year college degree; or, (b) at least two
(2) years active military service with honorable discharge or two (2)
years prior law enforcement experience plus either a two (2) year
college degree or sixty (60) credits; or (c) at least four (4) years
active military service with an honorable discharge; or (d) candidates
fluent in both English and Spanish; or, (e) experienced officers who are
currently employed or who have been recently laid off in good standing.
Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter and $50.00
non-refundable pre-application fee (certified check or money order only
made payable to Hightstown Borough) to James Le Tellier, Police
