The Mantua Twp Police Dept is currently
accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
except as otherwise provided by law, must meet the requirements of
N.J.S.A. 40A: 14-122, et seq. in addition to additional qualification
Applicants must be
PTC certified and/or PTC Class II certified with the ability to attend
the additional training required to obtain a PTC waiver. Applicants
must be 21 years of age or older, possess or be able to possess a valid
N.J. driver’s license. Current Class II applicant’s must have an
associate’s Degree or 64 college credits from an accredited institution
or an honorable discharge from military service together with 32 college
credits, and have no criminal record. All applicants must have already
satisfied any costs associated with academy training with their current
or former employer.
All applicants that
qualify for phase II will be required to successfully complete a written
and physical exam, mental and a psychological examination, and pay a
small fee to cover the cost of the written exam, prior to appointment to
the department. Applicant’s background will be carefully investigated
and answers, which are supplied on the application and written exam, are
subject to verification.

obtained at the Mantua Twp Police Administration building 405 Main St
Mantua, NJ 08051 or the Township of Mantua Municipal building at 401
Main St Mantua, NJ 08051 between the hours of 8:30am-4: 30pm.
