Tony Lepore became known for his dancing routine while directing
traffic in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1988, he retired and took
his 20-year pension.
In 1992, he was contacted by the Rhode Island mayor and asked to
return to his traffic post as a way of attracting people to the
downtown Providence area. Tony agreed and has been invited
back every year since.
Today, Tony is 66 and has become an annual tradition.
