The Monmouth County based Asbury Park Press has added another segment to the controversial Data Universe section of their website.

Municipal police and firefighter salaries are now part of the database which already contains salary information on county law enforcement officers as well as New Jersey state troopers.

The site has come under some criticism for making personal information too accessible to the general public.  While all of the information on the site is considered public, it has never been this simple to access.

The section for looking up police and fire salaries can be found here.

To reach the main page of the Data Universe section, click here.
