Asbury Park, New Jersey- A man pulled over for a motor vehicle stop ended up behind bars after Monmouth County Sheriff’s Officers found a large amount of cocaine on him. Tyshaun Fitzpatrick, 21, of Lakewood was approached by the officers for double parking his car on the 700 block of 5th Avenue in Asbury Park. After Fitzpatrick was asked to exit the car, cocaine was found in his pocket and he was arrested.

Fitzpatrick was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a CDS in a school zone. He was taken to the Monmouth County Jail where bail was set at $175,000.

“I commend these officers for a job well done,” said Sheriff Kim Guadagno. “They work hard to keep our neighborhoods safe and an arrest like this will help ensure that.”

The arresting officers were Sheriff’s Officers David Lasko and Kurt Kroeper.
