NEW YORK - A direct threat against police officers was made during a rally Saturday protesting last week’s fatal confrontation between NYPD and area resident Sean Bell.

More than 300 people assembled near the 103rd Precinct to protest the shooting carrying signs and shouting threats against officers.

Two of the signs read "Death to the pigs" and "Shoot back."

Apparently, "representatives" - as one media outlet referred to them - of criminal street gangs were welcome by the New Black Panthers, the group who organized the rally.

Members of the murderous street gangs the Bloods and the Crips were on hand and wearing colors to voice their disapproval at such abhorrent street violence.

Most importantly, officers should be use extra caution as a masked member of the Bloods made a direct threat against law enforcement.

From the New York Daily News:

According to the, “Caseem Jacobs, who identified himself as a member of the Bloods street gang, grabbed the megaphone and hinted at revenge.

"Soon, it's going to be an eye for an eye," said Jacobs, whose face was shrouded by a red handkerchief and dark shades.

This threat comes on the heels of last weeks report out of Newark which also indicated that gang members would be seeking revenge against law enforcement.
