Police and Law Enforcement News
Thursday, March 10, 2006 3:21 p.m.

We missed this last month but wanted to highlight the good work by officers of the Stratford and Magnolia police departments and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Detectives of the Stratford Police Department affected an arrest last month of a suspect wanted on connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday February 9, 2006 at the PNC Bank in Stratford according to Chief Ronald M. Morello

Chief Morello said that the armed robbery occurred during the early afternoon hours on February 9, 2006. The below suspect is charged with threatening occupants of the bank with a bomb and demanding money.

The weeklong investigation culminated when Sgt. Mil Gotleib of the Magnolia Police Department recognized the suspect from a police photograph that was circulated by law enforcement throughout the county.

Stratford Police Detectives and Investigators from the Camden County Prosecutors Office conducted a search of the suspects Magnolia Apartment recovering a large quantity of currency.

Additionally, police confiscated a large screen plasma television, a professional sound system and various electronics all thought to be proceeds of the bank robbery. Police all charged the suspect with a bank robbery that occurred in Lawnside during the late part of January.

Stratford Police Department will be applying for forfeiture and ultimate ownership of the electronics that were purchased with the stolen money.

Joseph L. Clark, 42, of Magnolia, New Jersey was arrested and charged with armed robbery, terroristic threats, terrorism, and possession of cocaine.

Chief Morello lauded the efforts by all the officers involved.
