We missed this last month but wanted
to highlight the good work by officers of the Stratford and Magnolia
police departments and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Detectives of the Stratford Police
Department affected an arrest last month of a suspect wanted on
connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday February
9, 2006 at the PNC Bank in Stratford according to Chief Ronald M.
Morello
Chief Morello said that the armed
robbery occurred during the early afternoon hours on February 9,
2006. The below suspect is charged with threatening occupants of the
bank with a bomb and demanding money.
The weeklong investigation culminated
when Sgt. Mil Gotleib of the Magnolia Police Department recognized
the suspect from a police photograph that was circulated by law
enforcement throughout the county.
Stratford Police Detectives and
Investigators from the Camden County Prosecutors Office conducted a
search of the suspects Magnolia Apartment recovering a large
quantity of currency.
Additionally, police confiscated a
large screen plasma television, a professional sound system and
various electronics all thought to be proceeds of the bank robbery.
Police all charged the suspect with a bank robbery that occurred in
Lawnside during the late part of January.
Stratford Police Department will be
applying for forfeiture and ultimate ownership of the electronics
that were purchased with the stolen money.
Joseph L. Clark, 42, of Magnolia, New
Jersey was arrested and charged with armed robbery, terroristic
threats, terrorism, and possession of cocaine.
Chief Morello lauded the efforts by
all the officers involved.
