POLICE OFFICER Hamilton Township Police Department (Atlantic County)

Township of Hamilton Job Announcement, January 2012 Police Officer

The Township of Hamilton is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer from candidates who possess a valid New Jersey Police Training Certification or a New Jersey Police Training Certification from a New Jersey Alternate Route Police Academy.

The applicant must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of New Jersey; able to read, write, and speak the English language; be sound in body and health; be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude; possess an Associate’s Degree or 60+ credits in a matriculated program from an accredited college; possess a valid New Jersey drivers license, and undergo written testing, drug screening, psychological testing, and oral interviews. Residency preference will be applied to the process.

The Philadelphia Police Department is now hiring for the positions of Police Officer Recruit and Police Officer I (certified Commonwealth or State law enforcement officers). Open House Career Days
The Philadelphia Police Department will hold three open house career days at the Philadelphia Police Academy from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The Philadelphia Police Academy is located at 8501 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136. Come and speak to Academy staff, see demonstrations from select PPD units, such as SWAT, K-9 and Bomb Squad and get more information about an exciting career in the PPD. You will be able to apply online during these open houses.

POLICE OFFICER Old Tappan Police Department

The Borough of Old Tappan Police Department will be accepting resumes for the position of police officer. Qualified applicants will be certified by the NJ Police Training Commission or have completed the Alternate Route basic course for police officers. Candidates are required to be 18-35 years of age, a citizen of the United States & a resident of the State of NJ. Candidates must have an associate's degree or a minimum of 60 completed college credits, or have been honorably discharged from active duty from any branch of the United States Military. Police Officer's Entry Level Examination for 2013 (Non-Civil Service)

A Police Officer's Entry Level Examination for all non-civil service municipalities located with Monmouth County will be conducted at the Monmouth County Police Academy, 2000 Kozloski Road, Freehold, NJ.

To be eligible:

  • Must be between the ages of 18 to 34
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Out of County Accepted

Paulsboro Borough Police Department

Township residency preferred. Class II SLEO certification required. The position demands good judgment, courage, physical fitness and skills, fairness, empathy, and a commitment to the community for which we work.

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

During the period of January 11, 2012 to January 26, 2012 , the Roxbury Township Police Department will be accepting registrations to take a written examination for employment. You may register at the Roxbury Township Police Department Headquarters located at 1715 Rte 46, Ledgewood, NJ, Mon- Fri. (9am-4pm).

To be eligible for employment, you must have a

4 year degree, or a 2 year degree with 4 years military service or 4 years police experience.

These requirements are at the time of appointment and not required to take the written test. The examination will be held at Horseshoe Lake Recreation Complex on January 31, 2012 at 6:00pm.

If you have taken a Chief's of Police test within the last (2) Two years and would like to submit that score, contact Lt. Marc Palanchi prior to registration.

You will need a money order in the amount of $75.00, payable to the Township of Roxbury, to register to take the exam. This fee is non-refundable.
