Hurricane Ophelia, which has
been lingering off the Florida, Georgia coast for several
days, is now on the move.
The current model has a
projected path sending it up the eastern United States.
If this forecast holds, New Jersey, especially Southern New
Jersey, would begin feeling the effects this Thursday.
The Carolinas could get it
even sooner.
This could change.
Currently, Hurricane Ophelia
is a Category 1 with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
All law enforcement and
emergency management agencies should begin closely
monitoring the storm.
It's also a good time to
review hurricane and other disaster contingency plans.
